Sprint free and fly swimmer Gabi Albiero focuses on her sport and her studies, but she also spares several hours in her week to volunteer in various community service projects. The marketing major maintains academic excellence at the University of Louisville, where she was named a UofL Dean's Scholar and earned a 2023 ACC All-Academic Team Selection. The three-time ACC Swimmer of the Week was named to the 2023 USA National Team. “Gabi is an exceptional student-athlete both in the pool and in the classroom, because she puts in the hard work and dedication required to be great,” said Dr. Thomas Strause, academic services associate director for Louisville Athletics.
