1 F/T Information Technology Instructor - Fall 2008 Cape Cod Community College  
Location: West Barnstable, MA 02668
Full-time position in the Department of Business with responsibilities for:

1.Teaching the equivalent of 15 contact hours each semester from the Business Department s Information Technology offerings which include the following: Information Technology Foundations, Microcomputer Applications, Hardware and Software Operating Systems, Database with VBA, Systems Analysis, Networking courses and Programming courses in VBA and SQL.
2.Designing, developing and maintaining the IT curriculum.
3.Acting as liaison between the business and education community.
4.Serving as academic advisor and member of Department and College committees.

Minimum Qualifications:

1.Master s Degree in a computer information systems-related discipline with emphasis on the application of computers in business organizations.
2.Field experience which includes database design and development, project management and/or networking.
3.System support and networking experience.
4.Teaching experience.
5.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

2 F/T History Instructor - Fall 2008 Cape Cod Community College  
Location: West Barnstable, MA 02668
Full-time position in the Department of Social Sciences, Behavioral Sciences, and Human Services, with responsibilities for:

1. Teaching the equivalent of 5 courses each semester. These history courses will include World History I and II, European History to and from 1715, as well as related courses.
2. Serving as academic advisor.
3. Holding minimum of 4 office hours each week.
4. Serving on Department and College committees.
5. Participating in the Department s evaluation, development and implementation of new curriculum.
6. Participating in ongoing assessment of student learning outcomes and participation in social science discipline review process.

This history faculty position is focused on the teaching of world history beyond the United States. The successful candidate will possess a broad range of academic study in global history, as well as, demonstrated ability in curriculum development. The successful candidate will possess a passionate commitment to community college teaching and the ability to energetically deliver instruction to diverse learners of all ability levels employing varied and active teaching and learning strategies.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. A minimum of a Master s degree in History from an accredited institution emphasizing non-United States History.
2. College level experience in teaching History.
3. Demonstrated ability to meet the challenges of a broad curriculum.
4. Understanding and acceptance of the community college philosophy.
5. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in written form and maintain effective interpersonal relationships with students, faculty, and staff.
6. Demonstrated evidence of keeping current in the field of History (e.g., conferences, workshops, seminars, courses, professional organizations, publications).
7. Candidates will have experience with the integration of technology and alternative delivery systems of instruction in the teaching and learning process.
