Web Application Specialist
The Goodwin College of Professional Studies at Drexel University invites nominations and applications for an experienced Web Application Specialist to join the Customized Learning Solutions (CLS) team. The CLS team is responsible for meeting the desires of both internal and external customers who require unique solutions to meet their learning needs. Solutions include face-to-face, online and hybrid delivery. The Web Application Specialist will support the CLS team with development of web-based learning modules and web page development.
Goodwin offers non-credit and credit programs, including full time, part time and accelerated undergraduate degrees, Master's degrees, certificates and customized training to traditional and adult learners. Programs are conveniently offered one block from Philadelphia's 30th Street Station, online and at regional locations.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor degree in related field and 1-2 years related experience is required. Demonstrated experience using HTML, XHTML, CSS, Java, PHP, SQL, knowledge of streaming media technologies, the ability to work in multiple platforms and browsers and the ability to work both independently and as a team member is required. Knowledge of Learning Management Systems such as Blackboard or Bb Vista is preferred.

The Associate Director of Customized Learning Solutions reports directly to the Executive Director of Customized Learning Solutions of the Goodwin College of Drexel University and serves as a member of the CLS Leadership Team. The mission of Customized Learning Solutions is to foster an environment that allows the University to provide quality customized learning solutions to individual and organizational customers any place, any time, at an affordable price.

Qualifications:
A Masters in Business Administration is required, but a PhD is preferred. A minimum of 5 years of progressive responsibility as a manager in professional services/function related to this position. A minimum of 10 years professional work experience in higher education or in profit or non-profit organizations, experience supervising others in a university environment and the proven ability to meet goals and expectations is required. Project management experience and experience leading cross-functional teams to launch products and services is required. Demonstrated knowledge of process, procedures and technologies relating to business development, education, and training and professional development, exceptional oral and written communications skills to include effective presentation of complex data to small and large groups and experience in providing timely consultation and advice to diverse stakeholders and clients is required. Experience developing realistic and thorough specifications, plans and proposals, the ability to represent Goodwin effectively and productively throughout the University and the community and the knowledge of various learning methodologies including online education, effective relationship building and networking skills is required. Experience as an academic department head or program director is preferred. |

The successful candidate will have superior oral and written communication skills including effective presentations to small and large groups, effective relationship building and networking skills and proven ability to meet goals and expectations. Examples of large group presentations should be detailed in the application or resume in addition to professional organization or community involvement. Solid closing skills and knowledge of process, procedures and technologies relating to business development, education, and training and professional development is required. Knowledge of various learning methodologies including online education and experience in providing timely and effective consultation to clients is required. Previous experience in educational and consultative selling or corporate training preferred. |
