Teaching, Learning + Technology (TLT) is a newly formed department at Stony Brook University, a major research university located on Long Island approximately 60 miles from New York City. TLT (http://tlt.stonybrook.edu) provides a comprehensive one-stop-shopping approach to supporting faculty and student teaching and learning. The Faculty Center is being created under TLT to complement our existing expertise and responsibilities in instructional and audio-visual technology, student computing, media services, classroom management, TV and video production. It will provide pedagogical and assessment support to the campus community and coordinate faculty development activities and consultations. The Assessment Specialist will be a member of The Faculty Center team providing support to faculty on assessing course and curricular design. This is a strategically critical position that will have far-ranging effects on the operation of the University and the success of its students. Required: Master s degree in any of following areas: teaching, outcomes assessment, program review assessment, higher education with an emphasis in assessment, learning theory or related field. Three years of full-time related work experience in a higher education setting, preferably within the field of assessment/student learning outcomes. Salary: $60,000-$75,000. Required: Master s degree in, or related to, Instructional Design/Technology, Curriculum and Instruction, Educational Psychology, Educational Leadership, or related field and three years of full-time experience working in instructional services in post secondary education. Salary: $65,000 to $75,000.
