WORKING TITLE: English Instructor
MINIMUM: $3,435 monthly minimum (10 month contract)
JOB LOCATION: Bowling Green Technical College
OFFICIAL TITLE: Instructor

BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION: Teaches 15-18 credit hours each semester of college English coursework. Plans and carries out instruction, instructional activities, and prepares learning materials for special studies. Provides instruction to students in both theory and practice in the particular area of instruction. Prepares lesson plans and maintains records and reports on students attainment and progress. Maintains order and discipline. Participates in professional development activities to improve teaching skills. Serves on committees as required, keeps regular posted office hours, and undertakes other assignments as directed by supervisor. May be required to teach evening or weekend classes as the need arises.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Master s degree with 18 graduate hours in subject area required for teaching position. Must be proficient in both written and verbal communication including computer literacy.
