Brethren Colleges Abroad: At Home in the World

For over four decades, Brethren Colleges Abroad (BCA) has provided international student exchange programs for U.S. and overseas students, faculty and administrators. Founded in 1962 as a consortium of seven higher education institutions with historic ties to the Church of the Brethren, BCA today is an independent organization that:

  • Operates study abroad programs at academic study center in 19 locations around the world for U.S. undergraduate students from over 100 U.S. colleges and universities;
  • Sponsors a series of unique Peace and Justice study programs;
  • Offers international seminars for U.S. faculty and administrators at its various overseas study centers;
  • Brings students, faculty and staff from its international host universities to the U.S. to study, teach and learn new skills;
  • Provides seminars and other assistance for U.S. colleges and universities interested in internationalizing their campuses.
