Black Higher Ed Enrollment Peaks in 2014

National College Signing Day festivities on May 1 provided ample evidence that minority students and their families embrace college enrollment as a path to social and economic mobility. More than 600 signing-day celebrations, featuring leaders such as first lady Michelle Obama and U.S. Education Secretary Arne Duncan, saw students in diverse cities, including Detroit and Washington, D.C., enthusiastically declare their college choices.
