Tribal Colleges-Grants — North Dakota Tribal Colleges Getting Grants by Associated Press Jul 17, 2008, 16:34 |  Email article Printer friendly |
| BISMARCK, N.D. Three tribal colleges in North Dakota are getting federal grants totaling nearly $6 million to improve academic quality, the state's congressional delegation says. Fort Berthold Community College in New Town is getting grants of $475,000 and $1.7 million through the Education Department to increase student enrollment and build a new geothermal heat pump system. United Tribes Technical College in Bismarck is receiving $1.5 million for the erection of a 27,500-square-foot technology center. Cankdeska Cikana Community College in Fort Totten is getting grants of $812,000 and $1.5 million for the construction of a multipurpose facility and the development of an early childhood training center.
