OMAHA Neb.

Federal immigration officers have raided the home of a Creighton University assistant softball coach.

Officials with Immigration and Customs Enforcement searched the La Vista home of Mike Govig early Tuesday morning.

Investigators would not say why they conducted the search, and told KETV the documents wouldn't be released for a few weeks.

The state postal inspector, Dave Margritz, said his office helped with the investigation, but he would not say why.

Also involved were the Sarpy County Sheriff's Office and La Vista police.

Govig coached at the University of Kentucky before he joined the Creighton staff.

Creighton University said Govig is still employed with the university.
