He is senior associate dean for degree programs and chief diversity officer at the School of Business at the University of Virginia. Rodriguez earned a bachelor’s from Texas A&M University, and a master’s and a doctorate from Princeton University.

He was associate provost for international initiatives, chief international officer, director of the Confucius Institute and a professor of applied linguistics at Georgia State University. Liu earned a bachelor’s from Suzhou University in China, a master’s from East China Normal University and a doctorate from The Ohio State University.
