Bree Thornton, a senior psychology major, ranked among the top-five team leaders in goals and points for the University of Missouri women’s soccer team in 2009. Thornton last fall also earned Academic All-Big 12 first team honors for the second straight season. The Lake View Terrace, Calif., native has collected soccer balls for the Kick for Nick Foundation, a program that distributes soccer balls to impoverished children in Iraq. She has a 3.6 cumulative GPA.
