UCLA football player Shea Pitts is an education major with a 3.84 GPA. He has mentored student-athletes from Crenshaw High School and is a four-time participant in “Super Bowl Spirit Day” at 186th Street Elementary School in Gardena, Calif., a day when football players from UCLA and USC visit to emphasize the importance of education and staying in school. Pitts helped distribute free backpacks and school supplies to children at a drive-thru event hosted by the Weingart YMCA Wellness & Aquatic Center and took part in a TDs for Refugees flag football event, which raised funds for Rohingya people and victims of genocide in Myanmar.
