DeWayne Carter, a team captain for Duke University football, is a psychology major who earned Third Team AllACC, Academic All-ACC, and CoSIDA Academic AllDistrict honors. He is a team ambassador, leading diversity and inclusion efforts by coordinating education and roundtable discussions on the Blue Devils and within the community. He has volunteered with Habitat for Humanity, made visits to a local children’s hospital and participated in Duke’s Reading with the Blue Devils program, a literacy program for local third and fourth graders.
