Dr. Tina M. King, San Diego College of Continuing Education

Tina King 3640 (2) Lois ElfmanDr. Tina M. King is the first Afro-Latina president of San Diego College of Continuing Education (SDCCE) in over 30 years. King is known as a humanitarian academic leader whose social justice focus is perfectly aligned with SDCCE’s mission to provide accessible, equitable, and innovative quality education and career training to adult students. Coming from a migrant family, she is closely attuned to the needs of SDCCE’s student body, more than half of whom are immigrants, refugees, and English language learners. During her first year, 2022, she began work to bring affordable housing to SDCCE campuses for students and employees, opening health and wellness centers, and restoring the college’s Educational Cultural Complex.
