Cluster of 11 Legionnaires’ Cases Evolves around a Church

Authorities are investigating 11 cases of Legionnaires’ disease, including one death, linked to St. Columbkille Parish Catholic Church in Parma.

Ten patients were hospitalized, and a 93-year-old woman from Parma died, according the Cuyahoga County Board of Health. All of the illnesses took place between early June and mid-July, and all were connected to the parish community at St. Columbkille on Broadview Road.
