Study Finds Fewer Minority Nurses Come From Michigan Nursing Programs

LANSING — Colleges and university nursing programs in Michigan produce fewer minority graduates than those in many other states, according to a study by the Women’s Institute for Science, Equity and Race. 

No Michigan programs made the top-50 lists for minority nursing graduates overall or for African Americans, Hispanics, Asian Americans and Native Americans. Programs in neighboring Ohio, Wisconsin and Indiana did make the lists.
