Oregon Bill Would Let Community Colleges Award 4-Year Nursing Degree

SALEM — A house bill seeking to allow community college boards to award applied bachelor degrees in nursing went through its first public hearing on Tuesday.

The bill would allow community colleges, such as Treasure Valley Community College, to award the degree to individuals who have previously earned an associate degree in nursing and met the necessary qualifications required by state law.
