UB Medical Student Is Chosen As NIH Medical Research Scholar

Esha Chebolu, a student in the Class of 2020 in the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo, has been selected to participate in the Medical Research Scholars Program of the National Institutes of Health.

The prestigious national program allows medical, dental and veterinary students to interrupt their studies for one year to conduct research on the NIH campus in Bethesda, Maryland. “These scholars are the future leaders in American medicine,” said Thomas R. Burklow, MD, who directs the program.
