Dr. Quinton Bullock has been appointed provost of Tidewater Community College’s Virginia Beach campus. He was most recently provost of TCC’s Norfolk campus. Bullock earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Prairie View A&M University and a doctorate from the University of Texas Health Science Center.
Dr. Armando Bengochea has been appointed dean of the college community at Connecticut College. He was most recently dean of freshman studies and associate dean of the college at Brown University. Bengochea holds a bachelor’s from the University of Pennsylvania and a master’s and doctorate from Princeton University.
Dr. Jacob Lee Diaz has been appointed assistant vice president and dean of students at Seattle University. Previously, he served as assistant dean of students and director of the Center for Student Ethics and Standards at the University of Vermont (UVM). Diaz holds a bachelor’s from the University of California, Santa Barbara and a doctorate from UVM.
Dr. Michelle Heffner Hayes has been appointed associate professor of dance at the University of Kansas (KU). She had previously served as executive director of cultural affairs at Miami Dade College. Heffner Hayes earned a bachelor’s from KU and a doctorate from the University of California, Riverside.
Lester Lugo has been named director of registration and records at North Carolina A&T State University. He was most recently district registrar at Edison College. Lugo holds an associate from Miami Dade College, a bachelor’s from Florida International University and a master’s from the University of Miami.
Dr. Elizabeth S. Ogunsola has been named assistant to the chancellor for affirmative action at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. Previously, she served as executive director of pre-college programs at the university. Ogunsola earned her bachelor’s from Southern Illinois University and her master’s and doctorate from Illinois State University.
Dr. H. Vincent Poor has been appointed dean of Princeton University’s School of Engineering and Applied Science. He is currently a professor of electrical engineering at the university. Poor earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Auburn University and a doctorate from Princeton.
Dr. Ben Vinson III has been named director of the Center for Africana Studies at Johns Hopkins University (Md.). Most recently, he was an associate professor of Latin American history at Pennsylvania State University. Vinson earned two bachelors’ from Dartmouth College and a master’s and doctorate from Columbia University.
Danielle E. Williams has been named community college liaison at Norfolk State University (Va.). She was most recently an event planner for Intercom Broadcasting LLC. Williams earned a bachelor’s from Virginia State University and a master’s from NSU.
