Classes Start For Local Universities

Students at the University of Georgia, Georgia Tech, Georgia State and other metro Atlanta colleges and universities begin classes on Monday.  According to CBS Atlanta, officials expect to enroll more than 30,000 students at George State, which would be a university record and an 8 percent increase over last fall. As part of that 30,000, officials expect to enroll almost 3,000 freshmen, which would also be a record.
