The economic downturn is impacting many states and Florida is one of them. On next week, more than 1.3 million students will arrive at Florida’s public universities, community colleges and private colleges for the fall semester, and the budget crunch will continue to affect their academic experience, the Miami Herald reported. Students will see bigger classes, smaller scholarships, degree programs suspended or eliminated, and higher tuition bills for public college students.
