Huston-Tillotson’s Business Administration Program Gains Accreditation

Huston-Tillotson University’s Department of Business Administration has been accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs, the school announced Monday.

Huston-Tillotson is a private, historically Black, liberal arts institution, located in Austin, Texas. It offers Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees in 14 areas of study. Business administration, with concentrations in accounting, management and marketing, is the most popular major at the university.

The ACBSP is one of two international undergraduate business school accrediting organizations. The five-year-long evaluation process focuses on communication between faculty and students, educational and business process management and commitment to program improvements.

Huston-Tillotson President Larry D. Earvin said the accreditation “communicates the impressive ranking of HT and the programs offered.”
