JUDGE ELAINE MERCIA O’NEAL was appointed interim dean of the School of Law at North Carolina Central University, effective July 16. Judge O’Neal was recently elected to the Superior Court bench in the 14th District of North Carolina. She received her bachelor’s degree and Juris Doctorate from North Carolina Central University.
