WM. GREGORY SAWYER has been appointed vice president for student affairs at Sonoma State University. Most recently, he retired as the founding vice president for student affairs at California State University Channel Islands. Sawyer earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Mount Union, a master’s degree from Eastern New Mexico University and a Ph.D. from the University of North Texas.
