LANDE AJOSE has been named senior policy adviser for higher education in California Governor Gavin Newsom’s administration. Most recently, she was executive director of California Competes. Ajose earned a bachelor’s degree in diplomacy and world affairs and theatre from Occidental College, a master’s degree in urban planning from UCLA and a Ph.D. from MIT.
