ANN MARIE RUSSELL has been appointed provost for data and analytics at the University of Massachusetts Amherst (UMass Amherst). Prior to her new role, she was director of institutional research at Bates College. Russell received a bachelor’s in psychology from UMass Amherst and a master’s in social psychology and Ph.D. from Princeton University.
