Marty Alvarado MARTY J. ALVARADO has been named executive vice chancellor for educational services at California Community Colleges. Most recently, she was senior director of cross-sector networks at the national organization Jobs for the Future. Alvarado earned a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from Whittier College and a master’s degree in philosophy and cultural analysis from the Universiteit van Amsterdam in the Netherlands.
