Aswani Volety ASWANI VOLETY has been named Elon University’s next provost and vice president for academic affairs. He is currently serving as the dean of the College of Arts and Sciences and executive director for the Center for Marine Science at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. He holds a bachelor’s and master’s in zoology from Andhra University in India and a Ph.D. in marine science from the College of William and Mary.
