ANANTHA SHEKHAR has been appointed senior vice chancellor for the health sciences and the John and Gertrude Petersen Dean of the School of Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh. Currently executive associate dean for research affairs at Indiana University, Shekhar holds a M.D. from St. Johns Medical College as well as an M.D. and Ph.D. in neuroscience from the Indiana University School of Medicine.
