AUGUST WASHINGTON has been appointed senior associate vice chancellor for public safety and special initiatives at Vanderbilt University. As the school’s associate vice chancellor and chief of police, Washington holds a bachelor’s degree in behavioral science from the University of Louisiana Lafayette and a master’s degree in criminal justice from Grambling State University in Louisiana.
