LERONE A. MARTIN has been named the first African American director of American Culture at Washington University in St. Louis. Associate professor of religion and politics in the John C. Danforth Center of Religion and Politics, Martin holds a bachelor’s from Anderson University, a master of divinity degree from the Princeton Theological Seminary and a Ph.D. from Emory University.
