KRISTA L. CORTES has been appointed director of La Casa Latina, the main hub for Latinx students at the University of Pennsylvania. Most recently a graduate teaching assistant at the University of California, Berkeley, Cortes holds a bachelor’s in foreign service from Georgetown University, master’s degrees in language and literacy and teacher education from the University of Pennsylvania and a Ph.D. in education from the University of California, Berkeley.
