PAULA HAMMOND

Paula HammondPAULA HAMMOND has been named Institute Professor, the highest faculty member honor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She is the first woman and first African American in the role. A professor and chair of the Department of Chemical Engineering at MIT, she holds a bachelor’s in chemical engineering from MIT, a master’s degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Ph.D. from MIT.
