Marian University President Resigns

FOND DU LAC, Wis.

Marian University’s president has resigned, effective immediately.

The Catholic university gave no reason for Josefina Castillo Baltodano’s departure.

Baltodano was hired as Marian president in July 2006 and oversaw the transition from Marian College to Marian University.

Originally from Racine, Baltodano was Marian’s first woman lay president in 34 years and one of a handful of women Hispanic college presidents in the United States.
