DR. JIM YONG KIM has been appointed president of Dartmouth College (N.H.). He previously served as a professor of medicine and social medicine at Harvard Medical School and as the François Xavier Bagnoud Professor of Health and Human Rights at the Harvard School of Public Health. He holds a bachelor’s from Brown University, a medical degree from Harvard Medical School and a doctorate from Harvard.
DR. KEMBA CHAMBERS has been appointed associate dean of instruction at J.F. Drake State Technical College (Ala.). Chambers holds an associate degree from Chattahoochee Valley Community College, a bachelor’s from Columbus State University, a master’s from Troy University and a doctorate from Auburn University.
DR. JORGE HADDOCK has been named dean of George Mason University’s School of Management, effective July 1. He previously served as dean of the Robins School of Business at the University of Richmond. Haddock earned a bachelor’s from the University of Puerto Rico, a master’s from Rensselaer University and a doctorate from Purdue University.
VIVIEN HOEXTER is vice president for marketing and development at John Jay College of the City University of New York. She most recently served as chief executive officer of the nonprofit Gilda’s Club Worldwide. Hoexter earned a bachelor’s from Yale University and an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania.
DR. REBECCA LOTHRINGER has been named director of admissions at the University of North Texas. Lothringer previously served as interim director of admissions at the university. She holds a bachelor’s and master’s from Texas A&M University-Commerce and a doctorate from UNT.
DR. STEVE MICHAEL is provost and academic vice president of Arcadia University (Penn.). Michael formerly served as vice provost at Kent State University. He holds a bachelor’s and master’s from Ahmadu Bello University in Nigeria and a doctorate from the University of Alberta in Canada.
DR. JOSEPH OFOSU is founding dean of the School of Pharmacy at Saint Joseph College (Conn.). He formerly served as associate dean for academic affairs in the College of Pharmacy, Nursing & Allied Health Sciences at Howard University. Ofosu holds a bachelor’s and doctorate of pharmacy from Howard.
DR. CHARLITA SHELTON is president of University of the Rockies (Colo.). She was the former diversity director of the Apollo Group. Shelton earned a bachelor’s at Western Michigan University, a master’s at National University, and a master’s and doctorate from Fielding State University.
FREDERIC WHITE is dean of Texas Wesleyan University’s law school. He previously served as dean of Golden Gate University’s law school. White earned a bachelor’s from Columbia College and a law degree from Columbia University.
