Guiyou Huang Named LSU-Alexandria Chancellor

BATON ROUGE, La. — Louisiana State University-Alexandria has a new chancellor.

LSU President F. King Alexander announced in a news release Tuesday Guiyou Huang will take over the chancellor’s post on Jan. 1.

Huang is currently the senior vice president for academic affairs, dean of the faculty and professor of English at Norwich University, in Northfield, Vermont.

LSU conducted a national search for the new LSUA chancellor, led by a committee composed of LSUA faculty, staff, students and leaders from the community.

Huang replaces Dan Howard, who served as chancellor of LSUA since March 2014 and stepped down at the end of August.
