Columbia College Trains Staff to Aid Veterans

As an officer in the U.S. Marine Corps, Landon Miller, a 22-year-old Columbia College student veteran, said walking into a counseling center or seeking help of any kind can be a challenge for veterans. Military members often don’t want to show signs of what could be perceived as weakness, he said.

To combat that stigma for student veterans on the Columbia College campus who might be struggling, personally or academically, trained faculty and staff are available to help in oftentimes unique situations.
