Eastern Tennessee Gets Grant for Military, Veteran Education

East Tennessee State University is one of 13 colleges and universities in Tennessee to receive additional funding and program support to serve veterans and service members and to help them earn postsecondary degrees as part of Gov. Bill Haslam’s Drive to 55 initiative.

The university will use the $80,000 Veterans Reconnect grant funded by the Tennessee Higher Education Commission to hire additional staff and to strengthen the process that enables student veterans to translate previous military coursework into ETSU credit.
