Top Transition Official Visits Fort Hood

The top official for the Soldier for Life – Transition Assistance Program visited Fort Hood last week.

Walter Herd, director, Army Transition Division, SFL-TAP, met with Fort Hood leadership, Soldiers and Fort Hood SFL-TAP personnel to gain a better understanding on how the SFL-TAP program is run on the installation and the services the local office provides.

“I’m down here really to look at some of the great ideas that Fort Hood is executing and see which ones I can copy and put in our policies so that they become the Army standard,” Herd said. “Fort Hood’s got a bunch of great ideas and things they do well.
