Freshman Balances Military Duties with Studies

University of Nebraska-Lincoln freshman journalism and broadcasting double major Jamie Titus started looking at a career in the military when she was just a sophomore in high school. Now, as an Airman First Class, Titus is up for the Airman of the Year award at her base, Nebraska Air National Guard: 155th Air Refueling Wing, located next to the Lincoln Airport.

Titus said she first thought about joining the military when she started talking with one of her teachers at Lincoln East High School about his experiences in the Army National Guard.
