Humanities Course Explores Experience of War

WATERTOWN — Jefferson Community College will receive more than $95,000 in grant funding to start a new class in the fall semester centered on discussion of war and understanding the experiences of combat veterans.

JCC was one of 13 colleges nationwide, and the only SUNY college, to receive a National Endowment for the Humanities “Dialogues on the Experience of War” grant. The funding helps support the study and discussion of humanities as they relate to war. It is believed that doing so can help U.S. military veterans and others think more deeply about issues raised by war and military services.
