Miramar College receives $20K grant from SDG&E for veterans programs

San Diego Miramar College announced Wednesday that two grants from San Diego Gas & Electric totaling $20,000 will be primarily used for the school’s Vets-2-Jets program, which provides resources and scholarships for military veterans.

The school will also use a portion of the grants for its annual Veterans Day celebration and the Student Veterans Organization.

SDG&E awarded the first grant, worth $7,500, June 11 and an additional $12,500 on Dec. 7.
