Over 2 million veterans live in California today and a large majority of veterans who have served in the War on Terror have enrolled into our California Community College system; the estimated population of veteran students at community colleges in California is 70,000 individuals.
Both last year and this year veterans met with legislators during Operation Veteran Resource Center Funding at the state Capitol to discuss the difficulties of adjusting to civilian life after serving in the military and the value of the support received through Veteran Resource Centers located on CCC campuses.
