Col. Christopher H. Warner was suspended Oct. 2 from his role as commander of Madigan Army Medical Center at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington, according to Military.com.
Warner only served three months in the role. The investigation is being led by the Army Criminal Investigation Command and is currently “unrelated to Madigan or its personnel,” Military.com reported.
Prior to Madigan, Warner worked at the Pentagon as the military deputy and chief of staff for the assistant secretary of defense for health affairs. He also served as the commander of Win Army Community Hospital in Fort Stewart, Georgia. Additionally, he was deployed for two rotations in Iraq.
Madigan aids more than 100,000 active-duty and retired service members as well as their families. Col. Scott B. Roofe, Madigan’s deputy commander, was named the interim commander, according to Military.com.
