Connecticut Extends Benefits to “Less Than Honorable”

HARTFORD — The General Assembly approved a bill Tuesday night that would allow veterans given other than honorable discharges for mental-health reasons, to become eligible for health services and educational support from which they are currently prohibited.

More than 800 veterans now could be eligible for state benefits, according to the Connecticut Chapter of Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of American.
