Tech Partners Up For Veterans Program

Texas Tech University and the Central Texas College District in Kileen have partnered up to commit to the Texas College Credit for Heroes Program, according to a Tech news release.

The program was initially started in 2011 after the passage of Senate Bill 806, according to the release, to help maximize acceptance of college credits for Texas veterans and service members.

“Our partnership with the College Credit for Heroes Program will provide veterans an excellent opportunity to receive credit for their military training and work experience that applies to their Texas Tech degree program,” Lou Ortiz, director of Tech’s Military and Veterans program said in the release.
