Oregon Votes Directs Funds to Veterans

Oregon voters on Tuesday approved ballot measures providing state funding for high school career programs, outdoor schools and veterans, but they kept a law that imposed a mandatory retirement age of 75 for judges.

State voters also approved a ballot measure allowing universities, including the University of Oregon, to invest in the stock market, and they passed a law banning the sale of parts and products of some exotic animals.
