University Gives Wounded Warriors a Spot

A dedicated parking space in the university parking ramp has been reserved with a Wounded Warriors Family Support’s combat wounded sign. The reserved parking space is near the ground floor entrance of the parking ramp.

The sign and parking space are the result of an effort by Tom Torgerud, university parking operations coordinator, to show appreciation for and recognize the service of U.S. veterans wounded in combat. With the support of his supervisor, Torgerud reached out to the Wounded Warriors Family Support, which sent the Purple Heart sign.
