Miramar College graduate, immigrant and Marine veteran Summer Lee never dreamed of attending an Ivy League school while growing up, but she’s heading to Yale on a full scholarship later this year.
“I’m very excited,” she said in a phone conversation while on a road trip. “I was just in New Haven a few days ago and had a chance to tour the campus. I’m really looking forward to it.”
