There are an estimated 331,000 veterans living in Minnesota, according to the Department of Veterans Affairs, and nearly 7 percent of Wilkin County’s population is veterans.
Hiring veterans has become important in both the state’s private and public sectors in the last few years and officials want to continue adding veterans to the state’s economy.
Gov. Mark Dayton’s administration told the House Veterans Division last week that they’ve made hiring veterans, among other groups, a priority, according to Session Daily.
